Select the Settings tab. Enter the name and speed of the characters,
pressing add for each one.
If you have a bunch of mooks, you might want to enter them as
small groups that go together and edit as appropriate.
When done entering combatants, press Next Sequence.
Select the Action tab. You should see characters ordered by their
Initiative Check, highest to lowest. The top row should be
highlighted. Whichever row is highlighted will go next, so you can
select whichever character you would like to go next.
The columns in the table are next Shot of the character, Cost of the
next action, Name of the character, Spd of the character, whether the
character is performing a Continuous action (check if this is so and enter
the amount of the Continuous action in the Continuous Number (C#) field), and
Extra-Long Action. ELA is there in case you want to change the value.
You can edit any field, but keep in mind there's no validation yet,
and little error handling in the code.
Press the Shot column header to sort that column largest to smallest.
Press the other column headers to sort them smallest to largest; there
may be funky sorting on non-ASCII characters. You can resize the
columns and rearrange them.
Normal use would be go to Settings, Add characters, press Next
Sequence, go to Action, press Act! until everyone is finished acting.
In between pressing Act! you may edit values to correctly reflect
who is going or their shot cost or whatever. Then go to Settings and
press Next Sequence, go back to Action....
Design Decisions: I tried to get everything off the Action panel so
there was little chance of accidentally starting a new sequence or
whatever. It's been rumored people make mistakes at 3am after consuming
a 3 liter of Mountain Dew. Not that I know anything about that. %-)
What's missing: Lots. Data validation and cleanup.
Constructive feedback welcome.
